Choose a subtitle track
After opening your viewing edition, use its player language menu. Select a track in a language you can comfortably read. An original-language label on 123mkv describes the production, while the player shows the subtitle tracks supplied with the edition.
Captions and translated dialogue
Some caption tracks include speaker names or sound descriptions as well as speech. Others primarily translate dialogue. Choose the track that supports your needs, especially when watching with little sound or following several speakers.
Make the text readable
Where supported, adjust the size, colour or background in the service's caption settings. Test a dialogue scene from your normal seat. Text that is comfortable on a laptop nearby may be too small on a television across the room. Service-specific settings can be different; Netflix's subtitle appearance help is one example.
Missing or mistimed subtitles
Confirm that captions are enabled for the current title and language. If a timing control exists, use a short repeatable scene to adjust it. Otherwise compare another supplied track or available edition. Changing unrelated picture settings usually does not fix subtitle timing.
